the normandy campaign
On the 6th june 1944, the 2nd battalion royal ulster rifles went ashore at sword beach. They were in the third wave of the british 3rd division and formed part of the 9th brigade along with the lincolnshire regiment and the Kings own scottish borderers.the rest is history.
